About The Bug Hunter
I'm Moises Gonzalez, a QA engineer based in Monterrey, Mexico. I write automation for software that runs on web, Windows, mobile, and embedded smartwatches. I've been doing this for over 7 years.
About me
QA engineer, mostly automation. Working out of Mexico.
I've been doing QA since 2017. I'm not gonna lie, I love finding a way to break something, and then, build a better and brighter product with the team.
These days I've created TheTestNestMx. Most of what I take on is helping teams that have either no automation, or an existing test suite that's slow and unreliable. I help them get to a place where the tests are actually trusted.
I've worked on Windows desktop apps, web apps, mobile apps, and embedded smartwatches. Each one taught me something different. Embedded was the hardest. When the device is on someone's wrist, you can't just rerun a flaky test.
I follow the HIST manifesto (from QAMentor) when I work. The short version: automation handles the boring repetitive parts, but you still need a person to think about the parts that matter. I'm also ISTQB Foundation certified.

HIST · Human Intelligence Software Testing
HIST is a testing methodology from QAMentor where the Human Intelligence drives the testing, while the AI and Automation are the helping tools.

Get in touch
I'm open to commissions. Most of what I get hired for: building a test framework from scratch, fixing a slow or flaky one, or auditing what a team already has. Email is the fastest way to reach me. I usually reply in less than 2 business days.
